Splice locks join tubular handrails internally and grip the inside of the tube using screws accessed through the holes drilled in the tube
Splice locks contact the inside of the tube at four points along its length to ensure alignment and maximum strength.
Two screws also cause a pinning action in both pieces for added strength.
Splice locks are available in both single and double screw configurations.
Proven the best mechanical splice made for tubular railing field joints –
Step 1 Drill 13 / 32” diameter holes for 3 / 8” screws or 11 / 32” holes for 5 / 16” screws as shown. Insert splice-lock in 1 piece of pipe and insert set screw and tighten slightly.
Step 2 Slide other pipe over spice-lock. Insert second set screw and tighten both screws.
Resultant Action Splice-locks contact the pipes inside diameter in four areas along the full length to ensure alignment and maximum strength. Two screws also cause a pinning action in both pieces for added strength.
